What happened to EA Access?

It just got a name change, now it’s EA Play.\n Do I get to keep playing the games after the early access period?\n

Once your early access trial is complete you’ll need to purchase the game if you’d like to continue playing.

If I play an EA Play early access game trial will my progress carry over?

EA Play members can download and try upcoming EA games before they’re released for a limited time. Yep – that’s right, you’ll be the first to play EA’s latest and greatest with an EA Play membership. And because you’re trying the real game, not a demo, your progress will carry over, so you can pick up where you left off if you decide to purchase the game.

Is EA Play available on other platforms?

Yes! EA Play is available for PC via Steam or Origin as well as on Xbox One and PlayStation®4. Please note: while EA Play is available on multiple platforms your membership is tied to the platform you joined on. If you joined on Steam, your Play List, member discount, and all other benefits will only be available here.

What’s The Play List?

The PlayList is an evolving collection of great PC games included in your membership. We’re talking full versions, yours to play as much as you want. The PlayList is awesome now. It’s getting even… awesome. Note: some games will require the Origin client to play.

Why do games on The PlayList vary from country to country?

Different countries have different rules about what games can be sold or made available. The result: what you see in The PlayList may vary slightly by locale.

What can I use my member discount on?

As an EA Play member, you’ll score an automatic 10% discount on EA digital purchases from Steam, including new releases and pre-orders. Ditto for expansions, game packs, points, you name it. Please note: while EA Play is available on multiple platforms your discount only applies to the platform you joined on. For example, if you joined via Steam, your EA digital purchases here would receive a 10% discount. If you joined on Xbox One, your EA digital purchases on Xbox would receive a 10% discount.

Can I play EA Play games on Mac?

EA Play is not available on Mac.

What if I want to cancel EA Play before my membership ends?

If you cancel your membership prior to your next monthly or annual billing date, you won’t be charged for the following month or year. You’ll be able to continue to play games, use your discount and jump into any available trials until your membership expires.

Can I share my EA Play subscription with others?

The games and other benefits that come with your EA Play subscription are exclusively available to your Steam user account. In particular, they cannot be shared via Steam Family Sharing.
